Adapter Firmware Version 02 Released
Vancouver, Canada, February 17, 2012 - Conurus releases Adapter Firmware Version 02 today for the Metabones Canon EF Lens to Sony NEX Smart Adapter.
Adapters with an earlier firmware version should be returned to Metabones for a free firmware update. Metabones will reimburse you for the return shipping cost.
- Fixed a problem where certain Canon Image Stabilization (IS) lenses, for example the EF-S 17-55/2.8 IS USM and the EF 100/2.8L IS USM macro, would stop down the aperture as it should, but the IS function remains inactivated.
- Performance improvements: aperture changes are more responsive and quicker.
- General stability improvements.
To check the adapter firmware version of your adapter, attach any Canon EF lens to the adapter and put it on a Sony NEX camera body. Press the 'MENU' button and choose the 'Setup' icon. Find the 'Version' function in the list.
If Ver. number is lower than 02, please kindly return it to Metabones for a free firmware upgrade.
